We teamed up with Livestrong to break a world record and help end cancer. On Sunday, February 22nd at Camp Mabry (Austin, TX).  Hundreds of runners gathered to be part of the very first Record Run, where our mission was to break or make a world record to make a positive change in the world. This year, our mission was to capture the title for “Most Pennies Collected” by hosting the Penny Drop Project. We created a centerpiece featuring our collection of over half a million pennies in the shape of the state of Texas.  The event was a SUCCESS and we were able to set a new world record.  Thanks to  all our runners, donors and sponsors for making this possible and showing their support. The event will be featured by Ripley’s Believe it or Not  (We will keep you posted on the publication of our event in their next edition of their book. ) and will be a demonstration by our community, state, and nation of our support for those who have been affected by cancer. After finally counting all of the pennies up from the event, WE DONATED $6,000 towards specific programs within Livestrong--Livestrong at the Y and Livestrong Cancer Institutes of the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. If you would like to support us with our future events, please DONATE NOW to directly impact the lives of people in need.
